Things we will do tonight: Knit, learn about knitting patches, learn about knitting in the round, have dinner, and show and tell.
KNITTING PATCHES
We have started these things called knitting patches, they are kind of like the patches you use for girl scouts, except you get different patches for different knitting projects. If you click on the picture section on this website you will see pictures of a couple of them. Also, sorry, the pictures are a bit fuzzy.

Wool roving is wool that hasn't been spun into yarn. In the pictures section you can see what it looks like.

Our New Reward System
To motivate you to start knitting more we decided to start a reward system so this is it, every 2 inches you knit on your project you will get one point, and at the end of two months you can cash in your points for prizes. Also at the end of the year, whoever has the most points will get a bunch of special prizes. So start knitting and start earning points!
Knitting Vocabulary
Felting- the process of turning something knitted into felt
How to Felt
Step #1- Take your knitted piece of cloth and soak it in hot water for 15 minutes.
Step #2-While it is soaking swish it around in the water
Step #3- Watch as your knitting becomes felt
Step #4- Enjoy your beautiful creation
( Also make sure that you yarn is 100% wool!)
